I am a membrane protein scientist with over 10 years of experience. I have a passion for drug discovery and would love to help you and your organization tackle tough protein chemistry problems, especially membrane proteins.

I earned my Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where I performed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), X-ray crystallography, light scattering, and microscale biochemical experiments on components of the SNARE membrane fusion machinery. After finishing my Ph.D, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Novartis where I expressed and purified several G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs), Ion Channels, and other membrane proteins for drug discovery. At Emerald Bio, I was a Project Leader for a variety of GPCR and other membrane protein projects

I'm happy to set up workshops to teach your staff about membrane proteins or any of the specialized membrane protein techniques they may need to be successful. These techniques include construct design, Fluorescence Detection Size Exclusion Chromatography (FSEC), Lipidic Cubic Phase (LCP) crystallography, and Bicelle crystallization.

I'm also available to help run your membrane protein projects, letting you concentrate in areas where you can provide the most value.
